Difficult to Use

The app is not user friendly. It has a poor design and it is difficult to use. I thought there would be a lot more Bible Translations but there are only a couple.
Disappointed

I wish I could have downloaded a temporary version to see if I like it before I spent $10. I haven't really looked at the app after seeing it only comes with KJV. yes, there are other options to download, but not the ones I use. To get them I have to pay more for each. I'm sure it's a good app, but honestly, as beautiful as the KJV sounds, using it as a primary version for study does not uphold the spirit of why it was written--so the average person could easily access the Bible in their own vernacular. I'm sure I'll get hammered on that, but that's how this person, a youth pastor and writer, feels about it.

Your library of additional resources is thin and lacks some real stanard bibles and comentaries that have been in use for decades. Not a good library to choose from.

Esta es sin duda, una excelente herramienta para el estudio de la palabra de Dios; sin embargo, la traduccion al espanol esta limitada solamente a la Biblia. Todos los comentarios biblicos y demas herramientas estan solo en ingles. Espero el dia cuando pueda disfrutar de todo el material que ustedes ofrecen, en espanol.
Not ready for prime time

I'm not supposed to get so frustrated that I start cursing while I'm trying to read the Bible. I am trying to do a simple search and this thing keeps filling in the search bar with the previous search. This could be amazing for some users but I immediately miss another app that doesn't seem to exist on the store anymore.

I really like this software. I is a little more difficult than the microsoft version, but I am thrilled it is available on Apple! Having used several different platforms, this is my “go to” tool for study, preparation of lessons and sermons, and even daily reading on my laptop. It is by far the most user friendly. Thanks for a great tool to hlep us help others learn God’s message.

Deceptive Description

I am extremely disappointed after downloading this program. ALL OF THE MOST POPULAR BIBLE VERSIONS (such as NIV, The Message, Amplified, NLT, NASB, Living Bible, etc.) that one would use to study DO NOT COME WITH THE PROGRAM. They much be puchased, all individually- $20 and up for each version! The only reference made about this by the app pulisher is in the description at the very bottom of page, which vaguely states 'some locked resources must be purchased from their pubilisher.' It is not just some- it is ALL of the of the most popular bible versions that MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY! THIS IS NOT A SMALL DETAIL. IT IS SIGNIFICANT ENOUGH THAT IS SHOULD BE DIRECTLY ADDRESSED IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. Unless you plan to pay a significant amount of money for additional translations, this app is essentially a $10 KJV and Strong's search tool. What is here is available online completely for free, plus way more. I understand the liscensing requirements for products, but the description of this product was not only unclear, but misleading. Very disappointing, and a waste of $10.

I thank and praise God for the efforts of br. Rick Meyers and team in developing and freely distributing the e-Sword software.The windows release is an outstanding piece, while the Mac OS is only in its early stages of development. I hope and pray that it will be as functional as the Windows version very soon. Again, thank you for this application.
Great app, but lacking a few small details

This app is really nice overall. Provides a lot of resoures, ability to compare different bibles as well as compare different concordances.Only a couple things that I'd like to see.First being the ability to disable tooltips when the dictionary view is open and instead open the links in the dictionary view directly. The tooltips are more of a nuisance than they are worth.The second thing that would be nice is either a better system for customized layouts (but that's likely a lot of work) or simply a way to view the concordance view without the entire dictionary search view. It'd be nice to see concordance adjacent to the editor instead of taking up a ton of horizontal space.Thanks for the nice app!
